Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. An interior designer is someone who plans, researches, coordinates, and manages such enhancement projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, programming, research, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

1. Employment opportunities for a Interior Designer:- 


There are several career opportunities in interior designing from which one can choose, such as:- 

  • Furniture designer.
  • Exhibition designer.
  • Lighting designer.
  • Kitchen designer.
  • Architect.
  • Architectural technologist.
  • Product designer textile designer.
  • Stylist.
  • Production designer.

2.Qualification needs for an Interior designer:- 



Any creative and passionate person with basic knowledge of designing properties can become an interior decorator.

But an interior design career isn't easy to build.

Here are some qualifications you need to become a professional interior designer:

I. 10+2 with any stream with minimum 50%.

II. Take All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED).

III. Completion of a Bachelor’s of Science (B.SC) in Interior Design degree: To make a successful interior design career, a B.Sc. in Interior design degree from a recognized university would be helpful.

IV. Diploma in interior design: An individual who has passed their 10+2 or equivalent exams with 50% marks can also opt for a Diploma in Interior Design.

Further, an individual can also pursue a Master’s of Science (M.SC) in interior Design

or

V. MBA in Interior Design: It is a 2-year course. The individual must have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks.

2. Salary expectations :- 



Interior designer salary in India may differ among several states and cities with the nation.  

An interior designer salary package stays between an amount of Rs 2,50,000 to 20,00,000 in a year. Also, the average interior designer salary per hour is Rs 250 – Rs 350. 

 But, the maximum rate per hour is around Rs 820 as per the recent news info. In some organization, the Interior designer salary in India comes with a bonus, profit sharing as well as commission. 

 There is also provision for overtime between Rs 50 – Rs 2050 for the interior designer.

1. Parental pressure:- 


                                                                                 If your parents want you to become an engineer or doctor, try to understand their reasoning behind this and most importantly why they want you to pursue that specific career. Is it because they believe the field would suit you, or that there are opportunities in this field, or is it a dream of theirs? In either case, once you understand their reasoning, you have a better chance to reach a common understanding to find a career that is both stable and interesting.

  Social Pressures are the combined pressures that are around you during everyday life such as Peer Pressure, Academic Pressures and Socioeconomic Pressure. These are the ones that teens are familiar with.

Peer pressure can swing both the negative and the positive side. It has a deep impact on one's decision making ability, especially when it comes to choosing a course or a career path. Peer pressure impacts heavily on three fronts: Career choice, higher education and personal life.

So you need to, pay attention, plan ahead, be positive, focus on your work. 

3. Education:- 


  • Must have qualified Bachelor's or Master's course in Interior Design.
  • Popular Interior Design degrees are B.Sc, B.A., B. Des (Bachelor of Design), Master of Design, M.Sc and M.A.
  • Certificate and diploma courses in Interior Design act as an added advantage.
3. Money:- 




This profession need more money, if you belong with a middle class family. So, it's quite difficult to choose Interior Designer as a profession.

After discussion with my team we got to know that A Good interior design evokes happiness and soothes the soul. It can inspire confidence, empathy, pride, creativity, security and energy. "Creating a meaningful space that fulfills the needs of the inhabitant and optimizes their space is one of our key roles as designers and is essential to our society".

Q2. In 50 years, when you look back upon your life, how would you like to be remembered for your contribution to society, country and world?





When you give back, you’re able to better the lives of the people around you – your loved ones, the people in your community or the lives of people somewhere else in the world. And finding meaning by giving back to the community doesn’t just benefit others – it benefits you.


1. EXPANDS YOUR NETWORK:-   Surrounding yourself with good people is key to achieving your dreams – and you’re guaranteed to meet like-minded people while volunteering. Treat volunteering like a networking opportunity, and you never know who you’ll meet.
